My scanner seems to be defective! What do I do?
In the first step we recommend testing the scanner with a different host. In many cases the seemingly defective scanner works perfectly well at the dealer´s and no problem can be diagnosed. Due to the diversity of computer hardware, installed software, viruses, other drivers, background applications and other factors touble shooting might be a relatively complex issue. In sure cases of a hardware error of the scanner you can send the scanner either to your dealer, to a local Microtek branch office or to Microtek´s main representative in Germany. The letter case should be avoided as in this case the customers are expected to carry the shipping costs both ways. Details of RMA procedures will follow soon.
