Microtek's ScanMaker s480 represents a new performance standard for users who need fantastic image quality. It features 4800 dpi, 48-bit color, ColorRescue™ restoration system for photos and films, 7 Smart-Touch buttons for one-touch automation, Hi-Speed USB connectivity and 8.5" x 11.7" scan bed.

Equipped with Microtek's patented FilmView™, ScanMaker s480 allows users to enjoy the convenience that a lightbox provides to look for slides and filmstrips before scanning. Plus, the exclusively built-in transparent media adapter ensures precise alignment and consistent scan results of scanned photo, film or slides.

4800 dpi Optical Resolution and 48-bit Color Depth The ScanMaker's480 delivers impressive image quality, versatility and productivity features with its 9600 x 4800 dpi optical resolution and true 48-bit color depth to address your demand for high-quality images. This resolution is achieved by applying the Sigma Six™ CCD (Charge Coupled Device) technology to scan intricate details with high accuracy.
Built-in 5" x 10" transparent media adapter with film holders With a transparency adapter built in to the scanner lid for scanning slides, negatives, and transparencies built into the scanner lid, the ScanMaker s480 improves your productivity and saves you money in having to acquire additional film-scanning accessories.
Get those boxes filled with vacation slides out of the closet, and archive all of your old slides and filmstrips quickly and easily! It includes versatile film holders for 35mm slides, filmstrips, medium format (up to 6x 17cm panoramic) and 4" x 5" film. Just place the film holder on the scan bed, insert your slides or filmstrip, and scan.

Preview slides and negatives		 The transparency adapter also features the FilmView™ lightbox, the viewing area is about 5" x 6". The ScanMaker s480 allows you to scan slides and filmstrip as well as regular documents and photos. In addition to an integrated transparency adapter, the ScanMaker s480 has Microtek's FilmView™ technology allowing you to preview your slides or filmstrip before you scan. Previewing your film has never been easier - just use the FilmView™ unit on top of the scanner like a lightbox to see all you slides and fimstrips clearly!
